My fiance recently discovered these medals from WWI that belonged to her great grandfather. We know very little about his military service, so we'd love to know what these medals mean, especially if any of them link him to specific dates, events, etc.
The red and green one is the French Croix de Guerre, with one bronze star and ribbon bar, awarded to AEF units in support of the French Army for acts of bravery 1914-1918. The red and white one is the French Grande Guerre 1914 - 1918, here.
I figured out that he was a Captain who served from 1918-1919.
These medals were mailed to family members in Chester, SC in 1920

The red ribbon with 5 green stripes looks like the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croix_de_guerre_(Belgium), the red ribbon with 5 spokes on the medal looks like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Crown_(Belgium), A.R.C. and presumably the red cross badge are from the American Red Cross.
