My great-grandfather fought in the second world far. Obviously he fought for the nazis, but what rank was he? Was he a standart Wehrmacht soldier or a "Offizier"? Can you identify those badges for me? If this post gets attention I can add more information.
Extra: As you can see on the first picture there are two stamps on the first picture (I also added some closeups) I think you can read a part of "Waffen-SS" and maybe there might be a part of a wing in there too. For reference I found this picture of a Waffen-SS stamp somewhere.

August 26, 1939 civilians with special education (linguists, engineers, doctors) but do not have sufficient military training, were allowed to enter into the army as specialists in specific areas, with the right to wear military uniforms and military personnel receive benefits. It was a category of military officials, called Sonderfuhrer.
