I have always been into history but I have no idea what jobs there are for historians?
not sure how to post a source on this... but I know a historian working for a big german company... actually he is just sort of archivist guy, not really doing any active research I think, I am not sure if people doing research would be employed permanently or just on contract basis
most big german companies have some sort of section some doing research for example on what their company was involved in during the nazi era etc...
