I'm doing some research into the Victorian Era and I was wondering what the overall attitude towards homosexuality (with a particular focus on lesbianism) was, in this period of time.

Well....this is a big question. Do you mean US or Britain? Elsewhere? Are you talking about all social classes, etc.? By "overall" do you mean "middle-upper class" culture?
