I got in an argument with my father about the founding fathers and their concepts of capitalism and free market. It stemmed from my support of Bernie Sanders and socialist tendencies.
Did the founding fathers have a concept of communal economy or were they set on capitalistic ideals?
Many of the Founding Fathers were heavily concerned with Lockian ideas of preservation of private property. Also the systems we know today as capitalism and socialism didn't really exist in the late 1700s
