Would it be because it was in their bark yard and did not want to effect Europe in the long run ??
Germany surrendered on 8 May 1945. The first atomic bomb wasn't ready for use until early August 1945. (The Trinity test that proved the viability of the weapon was on 16 July 1945.)
I mean, I'm sure that someone can/will come along and given a much more detailed response but ultimately it is that simple: the bomb wasn't used in Europe because the war in Europe was already over.
