What would the various ideas be for men to commit suicide due to being denied military service during times of war? I can't find any documentation of it being a widespread issue but it has been mentioned in several documentaries I have seen

I understand the mentality but I would like to know how much of an issue this was, sorry if I worded my question poorly as I really had no idea how to ask it

Do you have a specific conflict in mind? I suspect you are thinking relatively modern conflicts, but as written this is awfully broad. Do you think you could trim down the scope?
