To be clear, I'm not asking for an alternate history here, where the French have successfully defeated the British on their home island, which was, of course, very unlikely to have ever happened.
What I'm asking is what plans did the French have when they drew up their plans for invasion, were they to have conquered the British? Were they going to merely dictate an end to the war, or were they going to overthrow the House of Hanover and establish a client state? Or did they not really have a plan ready to go?
There was never really a plan for either the Revolutionary or Napoleonic governments. For France, what mattered was that the perfidious enemy would be defeated and ensure French survival. However beyond the replacement with a complementary government (which is more summed than certain), there was no plan.
