King Prasutagus and Queen Boudicca of the Iceni (a tribe in Eastern Britain) were allies of Rome until Prasutagus died and Nero seized their land. Boudicca objected and in reply the Romans flogged her and raped her daughters. Boudicca retaliated by starting a rebellion that resulted in the destruction of the towns of Camulodunum, Londinium and Verulamium and left over 80,000 Roman citizens dead.
