I read that specifically the Inca's and the Egyptian had very similar views on Atlantis, but could not find any credible source on this. Has there been many cultures who have Atlantis myths? Why would these cultures have such a similar myths/legends?

Well, I can't say I've ever heard anything close to an Atlantis-like legend from anywhere in the Andes, and even after doing my fair share of time in the loony side of the internet. I've seen people that think Tiwanaku/the Bolivian Altiplano were Atlantis, but this is an entirely new one for me. Do you happen to have where you read this from? I'd be interested to know what exactly they're misinterpreting :D
