What do professional historians think about "The History Manifesto"?

It's been welcomed by David Abulafia and Simon Szreter, which is impressive or alarming, depending on how unnatural one finds such a combination. David Armitage has posted lots of review links at http://scholar.harvard.edu/armitage/publications/history-manifesto. Criticisms seem to range from cautious to nit-picking: I haven't encountered a wholesale attack on its broad argument, which would be interesting to highlight the big issues: where's Greg Clark when you need him?
