I was reading about Andorra and I find it fascinating that one of their princes is an elected president of another country (the other one is a bishop, which I don't find as interesting). Has a French president ever actually gotten involved in Andorran politics? I saw on Wikipedia that Sarkozy threatened to abdicate if they didn't change some tax law, but I see that more as France putting pressure on Andorra rather than the president getting involved as prince.
I know that they appoint a representative, probably similar to the governor generals of commonwealth countries (but me presuming the similarity is speculation).
From the Andorran constitution the official duties include:
a) Call for general elections in accordance with the Constitution. b) Calling a referendum in accordance with articles 76 and 106 of the Constitution. c) Appointing the Head of Government following the procedure provided for in the Constitution. d) Sign the decree of dissolution of Parliament following the procedure of Article 71 of the Constitution. e) Accredit diplomatic representatives of Andorra abroad and foreign representatives in Andorra credited to each of them. f) Appoint the holders of other state institutions in accordance with the Constitution and laws. g) Sanction and enact laws under Article 63 of this Constitution. h) proclaim the consent of the State to be bound by international treaties, under the provisions in Chapter III of Title IV of the Constitution. i) Perform such other functions expressly attributed to them by the Constitution.

In short, de Gaulle did visit while President/Co-Prince, and later on Andorra was actively involved in negotiations with the European Community (predecessor to the EU), which saw the French government work with itself (as France largely handles Andorra's foreign policy).
