If I were to send a letter to a lady friend in the 1930s, how should it look like, in terms of the envelope/stationery/ink, as well as the format and composition of the letter?

It could look like a lot of things really. I've seen a lot of letters from the 30s! A few basic questions:

  1. Are you also a lady?
  2. Is lady friend a euphemism for romantic interest here?
  3. What's your class background?
