If an unexploded WWII bomb (such as that recently discovered in London) were to explode, would any victims be considered victims of WWII? [x-post from askhistory]

It seems to me that they could be, given that they would not be victims but for the bomb that was dropped as part of WWII (albeit a significant period of time has passed).

WWII was officially declared over with the signing of treaties. So no, they wouldn't be considered victims of WWII. They would be considered victims of unexploded ordinance from WWII. This does happen with left overs in France, Cambodia and Vietnam.
