Hello,
I'm writing a novel about the reign of Queen Isabella, and in my research (watching a documentary in this case), I heard about how a German traveller coined the term "ornament of the world" when describing the Cordoba Caliphate. Is there a written source of the statement, or is it more apocryphal than anything?
Aside from a few books written on the playwright/poet Hroswitha, or on "La Convivencia" as a whole, I cannot find a solid source that she ever wrote anything like that. It appears to be anecdotal instead of fact.
Hopefully I am proven wrong.
