Not so much an event as a person, King David is evidenced in the archaeological record by things like the Tel Dan stele, a carving discovered in Israel in the 90's. In addition, in 2014 a team from Mississippi State found several bullae (clay seals) that date from this era that may support the existence of David's kingdom.
