Like many people recently, i've been watching Narcos on netflix (really good show). I was curious as to what happened to Escobar's staggering wealth after he was killed. 30 billion isn't something that sneaks off quietly into the night.

His large mansion and country estate "Hacienda Nápoles" ended up being seized by the Colombian government and given to the local government of where it is located. It is now a theme park whose main features are all the wild animals Escobar imported.
