The Republic of China and Japan signed the Treaty of Taipei in 1952 which effectively waived the rights of the ROC to seek compensation from the Japanese government, so technically yes. Specifically, the language used was that "in an act of generosity and goodwill, the Republic of China voluntarily gives up its right to compensation from the State of Japan." However, all debts held by the Japanese government and corporations against Chinese and Taiwanese entities was to be absolved, and all Japanese assets on Taiwan were confiscated by the ROC government (meaning the emigrating Japanese essentially had to give up all their assets from Taiwan). Arguably, this is a sort of payment. In addition, Japan signed a variety of trade and other diplomatic agreements with the Republic of China as part of the treaty, which can also be seen as a source of financial compensation.
