At the end of World War II Russia experienced the greatest loss of all the countries involved but they also had the largest population. I've heard many people disregard Zhukov by saying that he just threw men at the enemies. From a military aspect was he a good commander or did he in fact just abuse the sheer amount of men he had at his disposal?
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to give this the full answer it deserves! But I have written a number of answers about Zhukov in the past, which at least touch on this in some places.
