As far as I am aware, historically we know very little about Germanic paganism. We have minor details here and there which lead to notions like Odin/Woden not being a primary godking until much later in practice but ultimately the erasure of local religion in mainland Europe by Christians was very effective. I would love to be proven wrong, however.
