Most if not all the kill counts were not officially recorded. Although there's a final tally (by each branch at the end of the war) of casualties and losses, very seldomly are kills actually counted with the exception of perhaps Aviation and armored groups that documented kills.

Even then the documentation and confirmation of kills at best needs to be taken with a grain of salt since kill determination and confirmation ability varied greatly between military groups.

Furthermore kill/death ratios do not reveal very much important information about the fighting ability of any fighting group particularly because it does not inform beyond numerical numbers. Things like logistical capabilities, training, discipline, armament, tactics, strategy, terrain, location, and plenty of other factors play just as if not more of a role in determining victory in battle than kill/death ratio.
