Ken Burn's Civil War documentary was playing on PBS. An expert in episode four said that no one currently knows what the Confederate War Cry sounds like.
That got me thinking, someone must know, right? There were a lot of Confederate veterans after the Civil War. One of them must have showed his kids or friends how to do it. Do we have any records or descriptions of what the Rebel Yell sounded like?
