There were not. Like any other species, humans originated in one place and later migrated to their present environment. Homo sapiens first appeared in Africa 250,000 years ago, then spread to West Asia, Eruope, East Asia, and finally the Americas. The migration into the western hemisphere wasn't a single event, so when some people arrived there would have been people, but I presume that's not what you were asking about.

If there had been, one must ask how they got there, and, if they arrived by land bridge, why we're not considering them Native Americans. But there's no evidence for alternative crossings, so we don't have to worry about that issue.
