Now excuse me if you believe this question is not well-adapted to this subreddit as it does not deal with actual history. I thought it would be alright to post here as some of you may have degrees, and I would likely get a good answer. So with that in mind, what careers or opportunities would open up to a person with a history degree?
Apologies if this is an inappropriate response but, I have a degree in history and one of the paths open to me when I graduated was law school. So, if you so desire you could go on to become a lawyer.
My BA is officially Liberal Studies but my largest content areas were History (25 credit hours), Political Science (12 credit hours) and Economics (9 credit hours). I went on to get a MSE as Social Studies Education. At one point in college I could have spent another year in the Education program and gotten the BSE. But I could also at that graduate immediately with the BA and be a year ahead in a Master's program. I chose that route.
I teach high school and online classes for the community college I got my Associates at.
