Are there any other good WWII documentary series like Battlefield that was released in the early 90s?

Here's what I'm talking about.

I love this series (although some episodes are better than others) and find myself watching it over and over. I'd like to find another series of similar quality but that can be difficult in a world where the History Channel exists and put out one awful, sensationalized WWII "documentary" after another back when they were in their Hitler phase.

Also before anyone mentions it I have seen The World at War series and though it's excellent I'm looking for something I haven't seen yet.

Hi, Did you find an answer to your question?

I found myself asking the exact same one tonight. I've also seen every episode of this series a million times and I thought it was pretty interesting that you had this question only a month ago.

I don't mean to break out of the WWII focus, but I very much recommend the Vietnam version, and following weekly series that is describing what happened in WWI, week-by-week, in real time, exactly 100 years ago!!

I'm a little late, but try Soviet Storm: WW II In The East which most resembles the Battlefield series. All episodes are available online on YouTube.

A recent Russian production, features re-enactments, CG, tactical maps and a soundtrack that I personally enjoyed.
