Yes they did as well as several other plants most of what we know about the "Mexica" or what's become incorrectly known as the Aztecs

Come from the various codex books. Most specifically for this question is the Florentine Codex.

The Morning glory plant or to give it's root name that the Mexica would have used 'black badoh'

It was supposed to link them to the sun through the God Xochipilli who was known as the Prince of Flowers

The various subspecies of plants were used in different rituals.

The brown ( seeds) was used and brewed in a drink which would send the person into a scared state.

The black (seeds) would have the imbibed person ( it reacts similar to Peyote at least according to the Florentine Codex)

A ritual healer would take Turbina corymbosa with morning glory and supposedly see where the sick person would be hurt.

The seeds were also crushed with Tobacco leaf to act as a healing pultice.

It was also used as an anaesthetic by these same healers or Ticiti
