It is going to be really hard to get an accurate answer on this. Of course the movie will make Whitey Bulger look better than he really was and some scenes will be created for the effect of the movie, but depending on who is asked, and by whom the question is asked by, that answer is either the movie is a complete lie, or it was an amazing and well done movie adaption of his life. People close to Whitey Bulger have come out on both sides so It is pretty murky.
