I was watching Narcos and was wondering about the hisotrical accuracy of this and of Goodfellas. I know there are super inaccurate movies, like the Titanic, but I want to find more accurate depcitions of hisotry through movies. I guess I dont have the time to read as much as I'd like, so Cinema and this Subreddit fill that gap well. Any thoughts?

I always thought Titanic was a fairly accurate movie, but in googling what you said, I found this site. It's not entirely comprehensive, but it might answer some of your questions.
I think what is important is to make people realize that no movie will ever be historically accurate. You shouldn't watch it to learn, but watch it for whatever reason you normally watch movies. In a historical context, movies are more interesting in how it shows the creators interpretation of history(like watching Spartacus as an analogy of the cold war)
Slate does a "How Accurate is ___" series that, while not too thorough, has an overview of what the film got right or wrong.
