I was just thinking about Audie Murphy, and how he played himself in a WWII film before, but I was wondering if the same or similar thing has ever happened for someone who was a Nazi during WWII. Were there any who actually played as one in a film or TV show?
I assume you don't want to include the numerous films created during the Third Reich, which depicted Nazis, and were, no doubt, often acted in by Nazi actors?
But I think what you're really asking is whether any former Nazi soldiers became actors and then later played Nazi soldiers? I'm sure there are several, but the only one I can find with a short search would be Erik Frey. Frey was an Austrian SA man, who, after the war, played German General Wilhelm Burgdorf in the film The Last Ten Days (1955), which was about the fall of the Third Reich. Frey was an actor by profession though, so it's not surprising that this happened.
