How much did it cost for the population transfers in the USSR?

For example labour: how many soldiers and workers to round up people, money, equipment, transportation etc.

I don't have a specific answer and I'm not sure the various deportations has ever been costed - it may be difficult to do so in some cases as the records might not be very complete or even available. eg. NKVD actions mean you would have to look in the state security archives, which are not really open. Soviet record keeping could be chaotic at times. Arch Getty noted the poor quality of basic party membership records for example.

Also this would vary greatly depending on period and which population you're thinking of. The Lenin era deportation of Cossacks would be a different case to the Stalin era deportation of Koreans, which would be radically different to Operation Lentil (Chechen deportations in wartime).
