I am looking for books on the subject of "monarchial" tendencies/monarchists in the US before, during and after the revolution. (1760s-1800 ish). I have read Dunbars book from 1922. If anyone has any recomendations on newer/relevant books on this subject it would be much appreciated.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a world history book with an "interesting" perspective on the narrative style?
I've been enjoying reading essays and books that like to examine history from somewhat unusual lenses. For example, tracking culinary history and changes as the frame for developments, or drinks, or the spread and changing of myths, and even tracking a single product like Salt.
Sorry if it's a strange question, but I would love a recommendation for a history book that makes me look at the events I'm familiar with with a completely different lens.
