"The World At War" is a 26 episode series from the early seventies that covers about as much of every part of the war as one could hope. Since it was made so recently after the war it features lots of first hand accounts from soldiers and civilians on both sides. Each episode is an hour long so it gets fairly in depth to whatever topic it's covering. Also it's available on YouTube so it's free.

If you want to get more on the tactical side, search youtube for the Battlefield series (made in the early 90s). Some episodes are better than others, but overall it's a pretty good series to introduce you to how the fighting was conducted.
