My workplace (a large research laboratory) has a number of "old timers" that are likely retiring soon. Several of my colleagues have suggested I take some time to talk with them and preserve some institutional memory.

Does anyone have any resources they can point me to for instructions on how to do this well? I'm particularly interested in resources that are appropriate to the specific context of workplaces (or, even better, labs).
