I just read Hyperion (a sci-fi novel, I highly recommend it), and there is a scene where a character relives the Battle at Agincourt. One thing that struck me was a small detail that heralds were discussing between themselves of what to name the battle that just occurred. Was this a common idea, and how was it conducted? I feel like allowing enemies to discuss what just happened would be an issue.
