Alexander Von Kluck and his role in the failure of Schlieffen Plan (WW1)

by Gandalf_Shitler

During the early stages of WW1 and the implementation of the Schlieffen Plan, General "Kluck" of the German 1st Army decides not to encircle Paris due to communication issues with the other german armies.

How significant was Klucks decision not to encircle Paris?

If Kluck had decided to encircle Paris as originally planned what would have happened?
