german or english literature tips about german Ostsiedlung in the medieval and slavs at today germany?

hello i wasnt really succesfull with this question at r/history so i will ask here again i need some good literature tips which will give me a good overview about the topics of the Ostsiedlung(not the one of the Nazis),the culture of the elbslavs/wends and the relation between the germans and the elbslavs the books could should be in german or english, i prefer german but english will also work fine thank you

The standard starter reference is probably Robert Bartlett, The Making of Europe. Unfortunately I don't think it's been translated into German. You will almost certainly find some German in his bibliography, though!

Lisa Wolverton and Jan Piskowski are two other important scholars who have discussed this topic, also in English.
