This previous answer I've given should help. While the French Army wav paralyzed from May till about June/July, by August it was launching set-piece attacks at Verdun, and in October, a wildly successful attack at Malmaison on the Chemin Des Dames.
If you are very interested in this subject I would recommend the book "Dare Call It Treason" by Richard Watt. It is the best book I've read on the subject and one of the best history books I've read in general.
