Author John C. Wright published this piece (http://www.everyjoe.com/2015/10/14/lifestyle/know-your-history-mohammedanism/#1) in which he claims that the conversion of the Roman Empire to Christianity effectively ended the practice of slavery among Europeans. Slavery is a touchy subject and it's difficult to find definitive sources on it's practice. Is Wright's claim factually correct?
The article was posted as a correction to conventional views, so I figured this was the place to check to see if the correction was, in fact, correct.
