When did poetry become a traditionally feminine pursuit?

by AN_ANGRY_BONER

Since the history of poetry as of today focuses primarily on male poets, but the popular conception of poetry is that it is a primarily feminine pursuit, I am curious about when poetry became an unacceptable pursuit for the traditional man. Are there any books or articles going into detail about this?
