Did any non-White Americans speak out against the treatment of blacks?

by J2quared

I'm asking out of complete ignorance but in school we learn that race relations was primarily a black vs white issue. Did the growing Asian or (not a race but) Jewish community speak out against slavery, Jim Crowe, etc?

Black revolutionaries formed alliances with Asian-American, Hispanic, and Native American groups, one example being the Rainbow Coalition which included groups such as the Black Panther Party, I Wor Kuen (an Asian-American socialist organization), the Young Lords (a Puerto-Rican gang/social movement), and the Young Patriots (a socialist organization mainly composed of poor Appalachian whites). Additionally, the Communist Party USA and other socialist parties were multiethnic and in most cases were unconditionally supportive of black liberation (the old Socialist Party of America had internal conflicts on the matter in its earlier days).
