I really take issue with the premise of the question. Do you have any reason to believe the Middle East has had more wars than other regions?

Are you comparing it to Europe? Pax Romana included the Middle East just as much as Europe. Wars were extremely frequent in medieval and early modern Europe, and in modern times Europe has been ground zero for two of the most horrible wars humanity has ever seen.
