There are hundreds of good examples, but as a medical person I have a few insane ones. One of my favorite is the 1984 Rajneeshee bioterror attack. Rajneeshpuram was a small city run by an Indian cult, led by a guru named Rajneesh. Oregonians were nervous and they were threatening to rescind the incorporation of the city. The only way to deal with this was take over the county commissioners board. Knowing that they would not be able to win the election the Ranjneeshis resorted to something devious, biological warfare. Having developed a form of salmonella in suspension, they would go to restaurants in the nearby town (and county seat) of Antelope, purchase a small meal and pour a vial of salmonella in the salad bar.
