Books/ sources on the History of the Widebay Region in Queensland Australia?

I cant seem to find very little information on this region, does anyone know of anything that could gleam light onto the area?

Most regions has a local historical society, sometimes the self publish. Also most news papers prior to 1950, are available on Trove.
