General histories preferably, something fairly accessible to an amateur. Alternatively regional histories of the Baltic, Lubeck, North West Germany etc which touch extensively on the League would be good too.

I'd suggest Philippe Dollinger’s The German Hansa. It's in English, and possibly the most authoritive book in English about the history of the Hansa.
