Hello, I have been doing research on the Elgin Marbles. I am trying to find primary sources for the Elgin Marbles but all I am finding is secondary source books about the marbles. Where can I find some primary sources regarding the subject?
I don't really understand the question if I'm honest. The Elgin Marbles are themselves a 'primary source' seeing as they come from Athens and depict scenes of importance to them. If you mean sources about the Parthenon from Ancient Scholars, there are to my knowledge not many remaining examples of Ancient Sources for the Parthenon, the best I can think of is Plut. Per. 13. 4. which is of course about 5 centuries late.
