Recently an interesting question was posted here. Many of the answers essentially came down whether the regimes in Spain, Portugal, and even Japan where really fascist. While I don't doubt the word of more educated historians, I am starting to think my high school education was too liberal with the application of the word fascist. Taking into consideration the examples of fascist and non-fascist dictatorships during and before WWII, how would you define fascism and who would you consider solidly fascist or simply an axis allied dictatorship.
