The Yup'ik, Inupiat and Aleut have traditions of hunting and fishing across the Bering Strait.

We know the Aleut went through the Aleutians to Kamchatka Peninsula and from Kamchatka into the Aleutians and the Inupiat travelled from both mainlands to the Diomede Islands in the Bering Strait.
