Can anyone please explain to me how the US became a world power between 1880 and 1945? What were there multiple events that helped the US become the super power it is today? If so what were they and how exactly did they help to empower the US to where we are today?
The US wasn't importing much from other countries.
People/artists/engineers/doctors escaping tyranny in Europe settled in the US more often than in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Mauritius, Argentina, Cuba, or Brazil.
I think there was little regulation in America at this time (another reason why so many companies and Hollywood set shop in California).
The US suffered little damage during World War II.
However, the US did lend money to European countries and had to participate in World Wars to keep sure everyone honored existing debts.
The US also exported lot of goods to other countries during the World Wars.
