I personally have an interest in the Third Reich. I don't know a whole lot about the history of the Third Reich beyond the many documentaries I've watched about Hitler and the Third Reich on YouTube and Netflix.

I was wondering if you guys could recommend me a good book on Hitler and the Third Reich. However there's a catch because I have a very narrow view of what I constitute as "good." By good, I mean a book that sticks to the facts, explains what happens empirically, and does not delve into the stereotypical points about Hitler being a monster, national socialism being racist, etc, etc. I have no interest in hearing an author blather on and on moralizing about how awful the Nazi's are. I've heard it a million times already, I don't think it's too much to ask for a history book that just sticks to the facts and is intellectually honest.

I have heard that an author by the name of Richard J. Evans wrote a trilogy on the Third Reich that apparently is praised by other Third Reich scholars. His books are also very affordable if bought used on Amazon, would this Trilogy be a good place to start and does anybody know if they fit what I'm looking for? Or do you have a better recommendation?
