The Nazis never had a workable plan to invade England. To make the attempt they believed that they needed air superiority over southern England. They never achieved this objective. Sea Lion--the plan to invade England's name--was delayed repeatedly then cancelled. Given the aerial opposition of the Royal Air Force combined with the power of the Royal Navy (which dwarfed their German counterparts) such an invasion would have been incredibly unlikely to succeed.
